Rebecca Gadsby

Artistic Director & Creator
Since graduating from Warwick University in Theatre & performance, Rebecca has been working professionally as a Theatre Director in commercial theatre. Since 2005 she has directed over 60 full-scale productions, including 5 previous versions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The shows have been on National and International tours to mid-scale theatres as well as smaller studio spaces. She is a specialist in Classical Theatre & Period Dramas and has a string of 4 & 5-star reviews for these shows in the national & local press. Her 2011 production of Sense & Sensibility was used by the BBC in the documentary, The Many Lovers of Austen. In 2016, she directed the millennial celebrations for Great Tangley Manor, using projection mapping to tell the story of the house, along with live musicians, 24 actors, recorded sound, and live narration from Michael Burke. Rebecca was inspired by projection after seeing an art installation at Quad in 2016. Since then she has dedicated her time to researching technology and refining a magical vision for a ground-breaking production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
